This is your sign to hike up Snowdon at 3am to watch the sunrise

Hiking up Snowdon at 3am is an unforgettable adventure! Starting so early might sound a bit crazy, but it’s all to reach the top in time for sunrise.

Imagine walking under a sky full of stars, with everything around you super quiet and peaceful. There aren’t many people on the trail at that time, so it feels like you have the whole mountain to yourself.

As you get higher, you’ll start to notice the sky slowly changing from dark to a soft blue. It’s almost like the mountain itself is waking up. The stars start to fade, and soon you see hints of pink and orange on the horizon.

That’s when you know sunrise is close! Climbing in the early morning makes every step feel exciting, knowing you’re about to see something amazing. The closer you get to the top, the more the sky lights up, and it’s like you’re racing the sun to the summit.

Finally, reaching the top just as the sun peeks over the mountains is magical. The sky turns gold and orange, spreading light over the valleys and lakes below.

Standing there, you feel like you’re on top of the world! Seeing the sunlight stretch over everything is so beautiful and makes the early wake-up totally worth it.

There’s something awesome about watching a new day begin from the highest point in Wales, with a view that seems to go on forever.

On the way back down, the whole trail looks different now that it’s bright. You can see everything around you—the rocks, plants, and even animals waking up.

The morning light makes everything look fresh, and you feel like you’ve had a mini adventure that most people don’t get to see.

By the time you reach the bottom, you’ll have amazing memories and probably feel super proud of yourself for starting your day with such an epic sunrise.

Remember - LeaveNoTrace!

As with anywhere outdoors, kindly keep these areas pristine and wild by taking all trash with you. The amount of complaints we have seen since COVID-19 is crazy. It's really not that hard to take your rubbish with you!

There is a greater chance of litter because the infinity pool is becoming more and more popular and receives more and more visitors. Litter tends to spread, so if you see any and are able to pick it up and dispose of it outside the park, it will help keep the area tidy.
