This is the place where you can experience the tallest kayaking in the sky

There’s nothing quite like finding a hidden gem when travelling, and one woman recently discovered an amazing experience. She found a beautiful place where people can go kayaking "in the sky."

Sometimes we don’t realise how lucky we are in the UK. With exciting cities and charming little villages, there’s always somewhere new and interesting to visit.

But one woman was recently amazed by a stunning spot where she got to go "kayaking in the sky."

A travel blogger, known as beautifulchaotictravel on TikTok, shared that there’s a place in North Wales that’s truly breathtaking. She was blown away by how incredible it is.

In her video, she said: "Did you know you can go kayaking in the sky in North Wales? Near the town of Llangollen, there’s an aqueduct that’s 126 feet, or 38 metres, above the ground. It’s the tallest of its kind in the world."

The aqueduct carries the Llangollen Canal over the River Dee. You can walk along the footpath to enjoy the amazing views or, if you want something even cooler, you can go kayaking, canoeing, or take a long boat along the canal. It’s one of the most exciting and unique things to do in North Wales.

If this sounds like fun, you can canoe over the highest aqueduct in the world, the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct.

There’s so much to see along the way – from the stunning views of the Dee Valley to the amazing wildlife around you.

Remember - LeaveNoTrace!

As with anywhere outdoors, kindly keep these areas pristine and wild by taking all trash with you. The amount of complaints we have seen since the pandemic is crazy. It's really not that hard to take your rubbish with you!

Litter tends to spread, so if you see any and are able to pick it up and dispose of it outside the hidden gem, it will help keep the area tidy.
