The stunning trail called 'Scotland's best' ending at the UK's tallest mountain

With dramatic landscapes, rolling hills, towering mountains, and endless sandy beaches, Scotland is a walker’s paradise.

And despite the sometimes challenging terrain, one trail in Scotland has been crowned the very best.

Scotland is a favourite for beauty-lovers, adventurous hikers, and determined climbers, thanks to its thrilling trails and scenic routes.

That’s because its summits, valleys, and lochs rank among the best in the world.

Alongside its breathtaking views, Scotland is home to an abundance of wildlife, including golden eagles, red deer, pine martens, Scottish wildcats, and even otters for those willing to explore.

One particular trail, ending at the UK’s highest peak, Ben Nevis, has been hailed as the best walk in Scotland.

What makes it even better is its reputation for shared experiences and the camaraderie among hikers.

Scotland’s West Highland Way stretches for 96 miles and takes walkers through countryside parks, open moorlands, loch shores, and rugged mountains.

It’s recommended to tackle this route from south to north, as it prepares hikers for the more challenging sections toward the end.

Starting on the outskirts of Glasgow, this trail offers a variety of breathtaking sights, from Rannoch Moor to Loch Lomond and Glencoe.

Planning each stage of the walk based on personal fitness and experience is highly recommended.

The route is achievable for most walkers, especially if you avoid the higher sections, but it’s still a tough journey as it rises along the east side of Loch Lomond.

Each step brings fresh, captivating views, making it one of the most popular first-time long-distance trails.

Remember - LeaveNoTrace!

As with anywhere outdoors, kindly keep these areas pristine and wild by taking all trash with you. The amount of complaints we have seen since the pandemic is crazy. It's really not that hard to take your rubbish with you!

Litter tends to spread, so if you see any and are able to pick it up and dispose of it outside the hidden gem, it will help keep the area tidy.
