A village in Derbyshire has been named one of the best places to go on holiday in the UK, thanks to its beautiful countryside and close connections to lovely market towns.

Sitting at the start of one of the most scenic walking routes in the National Park, Monyash might not be a place you’ve heard of, but it’s now being called one of the top holiday destinations in the UK.
The village’s mix of natural beauty, strong sense of community, and safety, with its “very low” crime rate, has made it popular with both tourists and experts.
Lathkill Dale, which is nearby, is perfect for nature lovers. It’s a protected area because of its special wildlife and features limestone valleys, caves, waterfalls, meadows, and lots of different plants and animals.
During the warm summer months, many visitors come to explore, but the area is big enough that it never feels too crowded.
