Now, experts have named the most photographed streets in the country, the ones tourists can’t stop snapping pictures of.
Whether you’re looking for the perfect festive backdrop or simply want to wander through some of the UK’s most charming locations, these 18 streets are a must-see.

According to the rankings, London dominates the list, with six of its streets taking the top spots. Leading the way is Oxford Street, which has an incredible 1,020,700 hashtags.
This famous shopping street is truly magical at Christmas, with 300,000 twinkling lights stretching across the road. But if you want to experience it, go early—it's the busiest shopping street in Europe and gets crowded fast!
Next on the list is Regent Street, known for its grand angel Christmas lights, racking up 469,200 hashtags. Carnaby Street follows with 425,000 posts, attracting visitors with its quirky and vibrant decorations. Other favourites include the colourful homes of Portobello Road (362,000 hashtags) and Bond Street’s glamorous festive displays (290,000 hashtags).

The sixth London location to make the list is Neal’s Yard, a hidden gem with bright, multicoloured buildings that have been tagged 184,000 times.
The first street outside of London to appear on the list is Victoria Street in Edinburgh. Its colourful shopfronts and winding cobbled path make it one of the most photographed spots in the city. Harry Potter fans also love it, as it's said to have inspired Diagon Alley. At Christmas, twinkling lights make it even more enchanting.
Two other Edinburgh streets have made the list. The Royal Mile, famous for its medieval buildings and rich history, has been tagged 22,600 times, while the charming, flower-filled Circus Lane has 20,000 hashtags.
In eighth place is Bath’s Royal Crescent, a breathtaking row of Georgian townhouses that looks stunning in every season, earning it 56,600 Instagram hashtags.
Following closely behind is The Shambles in York, which takes ninth place with 53,800 hashtags. This narrow, winding street, lined with 600-year-old timber-framed buildings, feels like stepping back in time.
Finally, rounding off the top ten is Gold Hill in Dorset, with 39,700 hashtags. Its steep, picturesque setting offers incredible sweeping views from the top, making it a favourite for photographers.
