If you weren't lucky enough to catch the Northern Lights last night, you can still enjoy all the amazing photos that flooded social media.
If you missed out, you might be wondering when your next chance to see them will be – and the good news is, you might not have to wait long!
It all depends on where you are in the UK, and you'll need a bit of luck on your side.
Last night (10 October), the Northern Lights were visible as far south as Kent, thanks to clear skies across much of the UK, giving people great visibility.
Before the event, Met Office spokesperson Stephen Dixon explained, "The further north you are, the better your chances of seeing them."
This is usually the case when the Northern Lights are visible in the UK, as they typically appear in more northern regions. The best times to view the Northern Lights are usually 7pm, and then again at 10pm.
For those hoping to catch a glimpse over the weekend, Dixon mentioned that while Thursday night was the best opportunity, there could be more chances in the next couple of days.
However, PA reported that these later sightings would most likely be limited to Scotland, with fewer chances elsewhere in the UK.
To give yourself the best shot at seeing the Northern Lights, make sure to get far away from any light pollution and look up at a clear night sky, facing north.
Since you'll be outside at night, it's a good idea to wrap up warm and bring something hot to drink to stay cosy.
According to the Met Office, the Northern Lights are most active around the equinox and solstice, so March, April, September, and October are the best months to try and spot them.
