McCaig’s Tower, also known as McCaig’s Folly, is a striking and unique landmark that overlooks the town of Oban in Scotland.

Built in the late 19th century by local banker John McCaig, the tower was designed to resemble a Roman colosseum, giving it a grand and historical appearance. Perched on Battery Hill, the structure offers breathtaking views of Oban Bay, the surrounding islands, and the rugged Scottish landscape.

Although it was never fully completed, the tower’s stone arches and circular design make it a fascinating spot to explore. Visitors can wander through its peaceful gardens, take in the incredible views, and learn about its rich history.

McCaig’s Tower is not just a piece of architecture—it’s a place that combines history, beauty, and stunning scenery, making it a must-visit when in the area.

Remember - LeaveNoTrace!

As with anywhere outdoors, kindly keep these areas pristine and wild by taking all trash with you. The amount of complaints we have seen since COVID-19 is crazy. It's really not that hard to take your rubbish with you!

There is a greater chance of litter because the infinity pool is becoming more and more popular and receives more and more visitors. Litter tends to spread, so if you see any and are able to pick it up and dispose of it outside the park, it will help keep the area tidy.
