Hidden UK beach gets compared to Thailand but only appears for a short time each day

This beautiful hidden gem with a beautiful sandy beach and rock pools has one twist; it's only accessible when the tide is out!

Hidden away on the Devon coast, you'll find a village and beach secluded from the prying eyes of tourists near the hotspots of Woolacombe and Ilfracombe.

Some locals even say this hidden gem reminds them of a beach in Thailand thousands of miles away!

This secluded beach has been regarded by some as the crown jewel of Lee, which is only located 2 miles west of Ilfracombe.

The picturesque village of Lee enjoys a maritime climate heavily wooded in places offering some stunning local walks.

During the flowering season, many of the village hedgerows are ablaze with the scarlet flowers causing Lee to be locally referred to as 'Fuchsia Valley'.

However, its worth noting there are no lifeguards and the area is known for its strong currents.

So, will you be visiting Lee Bay Beach this summer?
