With the holiday season approaching, many people are thinking about UK getaways to try local activities and food.
Scotland has a range of spots perfect for this time of year, whether you're travelling with family, friends, or on your own.
Even with the colder weather, pubs, inns, and restaurants across Scotland serve beer, with some areas offering lower prices than others.
To show these price differences, Alliance Online researched the average cost of a pint across the country.
Their findings revealed that Kilmarnock is Scotland’s cheapest place for a pint, with an average price of £3.25. The town in East Ayrshire has more than 30 pubs and bars.
Dunfermline and Glenrothes came in close as the second-cheapest spots for a pint, with an average price of £3.40. Ayr and Falkirk round out the top five, where pints average £3.50.
Dundee also made Alliance Online's list of the 10 cheapest places for a pint, with an average price of £3.67.
Meanwhile, beer fans should expect to pay about £4 for a pint in Cumbernauld, Greenock, and Stirling, according to the Daily Record. Inverness wraps up the top 10, with an average pint price of £4.02.
Rachael Kiss from Alliance Online shared, “Our research shows that people can still find a bargain pint if they look around, with prices varying across different UK areas."
Remember - LeaveNoTrace!
As with anywhere outdoors, kindly keep these areas pristine and wild by taking all trash with you. The amount of complaints we have seen since the pandemic is crazy. It's really not that hard to take your rubbish with you!
Litter tends to spread, so if you see any and are able to pick it up and dispose of it outside the hidden gem, it will help keep the area tidy.
